To make this custom Sturgis Special, I first disassembled, sanded and cleaned the fenders, tanks and seat. Next came adhesion promoter on just the plastic pieces, then primer, a white base coat, and for color I used House of Kolor Limetime and Sunrise pearls to achieve a "lime gold" effect. After a layer of automotive urethane clearcoat, I detailed the gas tank molding with chrome foil all covered with a second and final layer of clear. It still turns and rolls good.
